I had a Tokay gecko for a while. Too big to be interested in mosquitoes. Noisy‡. Bitey.
Gave it to a high school science class, where it promptly escaped and got into a wall.
(‡- Because of its call, it’s sometimes called the “f*ck-you” lizard.)

Remove the garlic and egg shells. Collect a few more mosquito bites. The geckos will come back.
