    I think that the problem is that you have to purify sea water and pile it up above sea level before it can be forced down to the sea by gravitational extrusion and calve off into ice bergs. The energy requirements for creating and transporting fresh water inland above sea level are prohibitive.

    Plastic replicas of icebergs… brilliant! Well, as long as they’re made from the mass of plastic that’s accumulated in the ocean and not from fresh petroleum.
