    The solar panels apparently work on the same principle as cellphone radiation shields.

    In time all of the Earth will become a place where the sun don’t shine…

    Could we use solar energy and gravity to store energy as hydrocarbon molecules and release the energy by burning?

    There are people who honest to god, actually believe that solar panels are draining the sun!!!

    Hadn’t heard that one but there was the lady who objected to daylight savings time because she thought that the extra hour of sunshine was killing her plants… oh, and then there was the guy who explained that windmills were using up the wind… O)h well.

    And a science teacher who voted against a solar farm in her neighborhood because she was convinced that solar panels could cause cancer.

    I know that half the population is of below-average intelligence… but some people are seriously dragging down the curve!

    No, No No: the solar panels are keeping us from global warming by draining the excess solar energy and keeping the world in balance.

    Sounds like quotes from Republican Congressman Joe Barton of Arlington TX.

    if it wasn’t for solar panels the earth would have melted away years ago!!!! the only problem is the reflection that the solar panels can have which attacks the ozone layer thus making the hole in the ozone larger and larger and pretty soon all of life on earth will be sucked out that hole just like water going down the drain without a plug. and the worst part of all of this is that we only have 800,675,167 years to try to fix it. the sky is falling the sun is dying the plants are disappearing, and the animals are farting methane – WE’RE ALL GONNA DIE!
    can we possibly have more bad news to cause us stress and aggravation and worry?????

    sometimes the only thing that is logical is that most humans are reactionary. but the how, what, and why of that reactionary problem is strictly up to the media each day. just ask the media and they will tell you how important they are for us to listen to. to which i usually say “thanks chicken little!”

    Barton is the one I was thinking of… to be fair he didn’t actually say that he believed that wind was a finite resource and that wind turbines would cause global warming. He was just quoting an “expert” witness.
    When you don’t really understand what’s going on it’s only fair to bring in the opinions of a nutcase to balance the obvious bias of scientists.

    Science, it seems, has a decidedly liberal bias.

    @Apikoros

    And it’s not just science. Religion also seems to have a liberal bias.. at least if you go back to its roots. If it weren’t for the human capacity to rationalize and reinterpret a person could feel quite besieged by liberals on all sides.
