I have often thought that if Civilization has fallen (and can’t get back up to previous levels of technology) that landfill mining will supply some useful materials. And think if you went back in time with clear plastic bags: Would they be considered a wondrous thing?

i think paper costs a nickel. fortunately that little bit of insanity is confined to portland. unfortunately portland and it’s environs control the state government, so it won’t be long before the whole state goes belly up. nobody there seems to understand where their food, shelter and energy come from.

I love to take my coffee out on the deck in the morning and watch the gentle breeze waft the plastic bags through the fields, knowing they’ll be around for years…..
