    Save the bees! I plant an African Blue Basil plant every spring. It attracts lots of bees. Clover and dandelions are good for bees, also.

    Curious, in all the films of disasters and post apocalyptic life, most have ever even mentioned that those events could have begun with the loss of essential systems, such as the bees and other species. The end of civilization – if we can continue to call it that – is usually pictured as the result of one or more catastrophes – sudden and overwhelming.

    But as TS Eliot said: This is the way the world ends . . . Not with a bang but a whimper

Plant native plants rather than oriental imports or hybridized plants that have been bred for larger and better plants and flowers to the detriment of pollen.
