Ah shades of the old Tiffany which people can attack. What one says and what one does is instructive. She, Tiffany, has shown signs of growth but vestiges, big vestiges, of her shallow side remain. Just the formula for her to unaccountably, to her, to fall head over heels for some broke dude, wait, Piro??

Well I’m with Tiffany with on THIS one, to a degree. Brad and Toni “Shacking” with Old Smiley? Bad, BAD, Idea.

One MORE Thing: It’s Brad’s Parent’s rental house. So Old Smiley is actually “Shacking” with Brad and Toni.

Tiff is partially right, you have to be financially secure. No sense living in a shack and having to shop at Walmart. Well, she must think she’s worth it, but she has to have feelings, too, or she is just a long term, live in hooker. Some guys might like that.

@DNTME: According to a previous strip, she is going to college because her father told her that she was going and he is paying for it, basically, he is making her go. Interestingly, we saw Tiffany’s home when she had Bernice come over just prior to high school graduation in 2014 to have her hair style re – vamped. In the strip, Tiffany’s home was depicted and it appeared to be less fancy than the DeGroot’s home.

Promises to be another thrill-packed week. Tiffany and Luann talking about marriage in purely hypothetical terms, since neither has even a hint of a boyfriend at this point. (Has Tiff ever had an actual boyfriend? – I don’t think so.)

Ok, so….still nothing on the stolen TV and the Gunther and Les episode didn’t progress…. are these all stalling methods while the creators think up where to go? I’m not really interested in Brad and Toni’s love life.

The Tiffster has a good point. Marriage is very much an economic contractual arrangement, as many cultures still acknowledge, though in ours the idea of “romantic” marriage has taken hold, for better or for worse. Tiffany may seem superficial, but she has more depth than usually appears at first glance or when she tries to express herself verbally….

A long time ago in a comic strip far, far away … Tiffany had ambitions of becoming rich and famous herself. She’d better get back on track, because she’s never had any luck in attracting any guys, rich or not.

Well THAT was a huge letdown after last week! Geez

Tiffany is a good person, but being around Luann brings out the worst in her. Gunther brings out the best in Tiff.

Finances should be openly discussed before marriage so both parties know what they are getting into. Tiff can make her own money. She’s done modeling and she has a job now. She will probably earn more in her lifetime than Gunther will as an engineer.

Back in the early years of this comic where they were in school, Tiffany’s signature outfit was her cheerleader’s uniform of which she wore everyday. Which was reason for me reading the strip nearly everyday!

Tiffany’s honesty is refreshing.

I do think Tiffany’s bark is worse than her bite, at least in the past year of her rehabilitation. Very generous to Piro with little to gain for herself. Generous to Gunther.

The old superficial Tiffany re-surfaces. Quite refreshing after Gunth and Les’ pout-fest last week.

@LOCAKE: I know we’ve all had this discussion about salaries before, and it will probably bore everyone to death, but, here’s a bit of info. Right now, Tiffany is working as essentially a file clerk for the Kid’s First program. That isn’t a really highly paid position. As far as modeling goes, you might be surprised to find out that the majority of models are not highly paid. Even the most famous, like the Victoria’s Secret models, did not report an income higher than $100,000 this past year. The majority of ‘working’ models (who appear in local fashion shows, or at car or boat shows) often don’t earn more than an average of $42,180 a year. Tiffany had actually wanted to act, not just model, but ‘journeymen’ actors are paid a scale wage unless they have speaking parts. Neither modeling nor acting are usually long term jobs, either.

On the other hand, a Civil Engineer may earn as much as $99,000 annually in California.

Or, you could just move in with someone who’s rich, like TJ…Oh wait!

I hope this is a lead-in to something substantive and not just a week of mindless back and forth between Luann and Tif……… for example, Tiff talking (truthfully) about her relationship with Piro or Gunther; this would be backdoor supporting information for other arcs.

perhaps they are so used to being at opposing sides that they just bring out the worst in each other.

Honestly if more women would take this attitude there would be a lot few boy-men unwilling to grow up.

Wonder if Tiff will ask about Quill.

Tiff knows she wants security +. She would make a good trophy, long term relationship, but country clubs bore me. She would be perfect just to hang out with, and be your date for important occasions when you want to impress the other guests. I don’t see her cleaning her own house and having babies spit up on her. Fashion shows: yes. NASCAR: no.
