To save everybody the trouble of googling, there is no Merchant Moe.

    Bilan… didn’t Google it cos I’m pretty sure it’s just a take-off on “Trader Joe’s” ….

In case they don’t have those where you live….

That’s a chain of small grocery stores with a more limited but sometimes healthier selection than the usual supermarket, largely sold under their own brand name….

including unusual and ethnic foods, some imported…. and lots of nuts, dried fruit, crackers and such, including peanut butter filled pretzel nuggets.

I didn’t think they had stores in Michigan, but the chain is really growing so I guess they do now.

WhiteHeron… hope you saw my answer….

MsSusan Yes I did, both of them, thank you.My best friend’s widow is going through that climb. She has good days and bad days(don’t we all?)

Anyway, please pass on my regards to both of them, and wish them well.

Lidl and Aldi are coming to our area. I am curious to see how they are accepted. You know how we southerners are about our favorite brands.

Susan, yeah, we have a Trader Joe’s here…Ann Arbor and just recently Grand Rapids….A friend of mine spends 300 dollars plus at a time…Sometimes two baskets….I’m not exactly sure why, but she has a freezer, and she sure knows how to cook, if that explains anything….

In 2004 we moved here to the home of Wegman’s and I remember everyone at my new office asking if I’d taken my wife to Wegman’s grocery store yet. I thought they were kidding (it’s just a grocery store, right?). It really is a different shopping experience.

Those Trader Joe’s peanut butter filled pretzels are yummy! I’m with Caufield, must be savored!

Instead of turning each pretzel over, she could stand on her head to eat them.

Caulfield’s chance to manipulate another of his peers it seems. Turn the sow’s ear as it were into a silk purse.

I find that most snack bags are easier to open from the bottom because they add an extra wide part at the top to punch the hole for hanging if from a peg.
