Emoting has never been a problem for Calvin.

Channel that frustration into the plight of the hapless onion!

Ask the teacher to do a Captain Napalm or dinosaur play and he will have his lines on point. Only if Miss Wormwood actually wants Calvin to have good grades.

He needs to stop fighting it. He needs to make it “easy” to remember.

There are so many layers to playing an onion.

You’re suppose to make people cry Calvin, not cry yourself.

He just needs to rename his part the “Onionosaurus”.

Careful Cal, you get too upset and your brain will “leek” out of your head. (Leek- Onion, get it? I slay me…)

I’m happy, I need not learning a part, I play the accordion!!

You be “Bread”?

I think he’s seen too many Peter O’Toole movies.

I thought Bread was kind of loafing with his acting.

Calvin ad-libbing: “In addition… you take two numbers and do something to them to turn them into a new number. For example, 8+4=7, 6+5=6 and 8+3=6. Can I get off this stinkin’ stage now?!”

I can remember my friend doing this 5 years ago in 7th grade. He raged and snuck in a piece of binder paper with his lines on it.

Calvin should be bread…he is the very flour of humanity.

I Wonder what kind of Bread Calvin is portraying? Will he help build strong bodies 12 ways?

If Hobbes is bread, Calvin’s toast.

Confidence is a rare thing. That’s why it costs so much.
