My husband’s memory is so bad that I know he will forget the birthdays and the anniversaries. So, I have no shame in reminding him starting about 2 weeks before the event. It works and we’re happy.
In almost fifty years of marriage, I never forgot her birthday or our anniversary. Maybe, she didn’t get the best of cards or gifts but I never forgot ! ! !
