I have found over the years that people of both sexes, especially those over fifty years old, will feel very tired and generally rotten but don’t see the doctor because they think the feeling will go away, as it has before. Then, when they are near collapse, the do see the doctor and are diagnosed with pneumonia. .Often, by that time they have to spend a few days in the hospital. Or, at least they get a powerful drug that makes them “loopy.” But some die, because for some reason we are expected to tough it out..Another such disease is cellulitis, that can damage or kill you if left untreated. I’m sure there are other conditions that we older people suffer through, in the belief that that they will just “go away” — with possibly fatal results.

    Guys,

Don’t waste your time answering Matty-boy. It makes things up and loves to rant. And it does so because it wishes it had done something with its life. Instead it is relegated to being a loser, drive-by troll just praying someone will pay attention to it.

Oh, for Pete’s sake. I’ve had “walking” (Mycoplasma) pneumonia several times over the years, always at this time of year. It shouldn’t be ignored. Walking pneumonia will take the wind out of one’s sails, for sure, and results in quite a persistent cough, but it’s easily treated and if treated ordinarily nothing serious. The organism is ubiquitous, and one ceases to be at all contagious shortly after antibiotic treatment is started. Perhaps the biggest danger with walking pneumonia is that the symptoms for Pertussis start out being very similar. Whooping cough is not to be trifled with. (Been there done that, too.) Fortunately, the treatment is the same, but the cough with Pertussis is far more persistent, even with treatment, and a killer. As for the condition noted in the cartoon, that’s not Hillary’s problem, it’s OTHER people’s problem.

“Speculated that she might not be well.” Gee, that sounds like honest concern. What I remember, though, is charges that she was covering up her imminent demise for selfish, partisan reasons, and lie lie lie lie shrillary lie hitliery granny. (I’ve left out the repetitions of standard disproven wheezes for reasons of space.) Then she fell down, and the GOP wet itself with glee. That’s more like what I remember.

How was Darsan54 been “ugly”? To wit:.

Darsan54 GoComics Pro Member commented on Tom Toles about 5 hours agoAnd how many bosses and co-workers have come into work because they are afraid of losing their jobs? Oh, to be a conservative and never have used your brain.*-Oh that crack about Cons not using their brains. I agree, he should know Cons use their brains to work to keep the status quo or to regress back to that status quo of glorious 1950’s or 1850’s or for some they like the 1650’s where theocracies ruled here.

sueamarlucanI am having trouble relating to your name-calling. I am Christian (clergy by ordination by a real bishop), male, at least sub-Nordic (I haven’t found out whether Angle or Saxon) although I am also Scotch Irish Celtic and Cherokee Ameriican, paleo-liberal (Populist/Green would be more accurate), Integrationist before the term was coined (1951), so where do I fit in your incredible (literally: unbelievable) world view? We know where you fit – in a basket case.

“I am beginning to think it is better to be conservative and NOT use a brain rather than use it just to be as ugly as you have demonstrated a mastery of. If being conservative means my brain does not go to the low that a liberal brain is shown to do in your and other’s comments, no problem. I’d rather not think of others like you do. For sure, there are some ‘conservative’ comments that are just as low, but few have shown such mastery as you have.”-——————————————————————So now you are saying all liberals have a low brain, you show off that you can slam groups just as you have been ranting about. Why not try some of that tolerance you keep complaining about?

I see the Koch’s understand the real Hillary as I and others do. Read Ted Rall showing the ugly and less publicized Neo-Liberal aspects of her political philosophy.

Was at a contest between two Christian churches last night, expecting a nice evening of camaraderie. I chose to stay away from two White, Male, Christians from my church who were discussing the “deplorable” fact that immigrants were ruining our country, and Obama had the “audacity” to want to bring in 100,000 total Syrian refugees. It would be 2000 more per state, they said, and they’re already ruining our country. One’s last name was German, the other has a British wife. Sieg Heil, ya’ll!

If you’re sincere in your heart, and believe yourself sincerely better than others, then you can insult them up and down and still get huffy when they respond in kind. Because YOU are ‘sincere,’ and they’re just being jerks.
