Maybe this is the point where Snoopy becomes Head Beagle

Why don’t you just start digging until you get all the way to China? The Head Beagle won’t find you there.

Snoopy’s final line reminds me of Dr. Manhattan. He knows everything that’s going to happen, but goes through the motions anyway.

Not only was that ridiculous to the point where the word “ridiculous” is shamed, but propping up one’s arm on the fork of a tree itself fails the laugh test.

Talking of failing the laugh test, the face on the dead man is a riot.

How about he is pointing at the horizon and the killer is the pilot?

Heard the Head Beagle e-mails these days

Charlie Brown doesn’t seem in the least concerned that his dog gets mail…

The dead guy is mimicking Babe Ruth pointing to the outfield just before he hit a home run, which proves the baseball coach is the killer. He looks like he needs a lobotomy anyway.

But strip search da broads to err on the side of caution!

Of course not…he gets it all the time.

Sometimes, I wonder why I continue reading this comic strip. So many of them are preposterous.

Somewhat flawed but easy to figure out – and even enjoyable – once you’re familiar with the strip.

No. The “she” Snoopy is referring to is Frieda, the girl in last Friday’s strip who kept nagging him to go chase rabbits and threatened to report him to the Head Beagle unless he went with her to chase them. The “little red-haired girl” never appeared in the strip — she was only referred to, and she moved away about two months ago.

@CAPPSTERI read it because it puts the rest of the week’s idiocy in perspective. This one was the dumbest one I can ever remember.

Well, she has red (or orange) hair but she’s not THE “little red-haired girl” that Charlie Brown has a crush on.

Is the head beagle elected, or is he a regal beagle?

Snoopy does get mail all the time: Valentines from all the girls he’s loved before, and a ton of rejection letters from various publishers he’s always hated before!

How about pointing towards France, and the French Chef is the murderer. Also, I need to make a note for myself that if I ever get shot on a moonlit night near a beach, I better make sure that I am near a tree of appropriate height to rest my arm on.

Without confessions, how many people would the inspector have put behind bars?

Ladies “swoon”…. Beagles faint, I guess.

HOLY COW!!!! I’m almost ashamed to admit that I still read this strip. Yet, I do, hoping that Werner will put up something that is actually challenging, without being idiotic and impossible. I’ll admit, that I actually got this one before I read the solution, but putting the motive in there was stupid and unnecessary, as it had NOTHING to do with the strip as drawn. I’d almost rather sit around reading a bunch of cards from the MindTrap game…

I guess the “head beagle” is the head cheese!

He’s extending his arm as one might for a blood pressure reading. Obviously the nurse is the killer.

He’s pointing to the horizon. Obviously the pilot is the killer.

He’s pointing across the ocean. Obviously the French chef is the killer.

He’s point in at umm… well, obviously the model is the killer.

Does Snoopy have Cheerios on the brain?

Sorry but those O’s in the 3rd panel look like Cheerios.

This one is really lame. First of all, after he died, his finger would not remain pointing, but would yield to gravity and his whole hand would droop.

Charlie Brown should have tried to catch Snoopy instead of letting him fall on his back from the height of the top of the doghouse.

Actually, the dead man is pointing right at Danger’s assistant, whatever his name is. So that’s the killer, right there.

It is time to strip search the model, then will will know why he is pointing.
