That was me this weekend. The hurricane blew through and took my electricity with it for 30 long hours. It was hot, hot, hot

It’s weird seeing these strips repeated out of their original season. I was just noticing earlier in the weekend that it’s cooled down enough that the grackles have gone back to closing their beaks when they’re flying.

We used to put bowls of ice in front of the fans before we got AC – with ice cubes the cat would take the cubes and chase them around the house – with AC they would lay on the vents – love the fore-CATS!!!

Elvis, don’t your humans have air conditioning? You would like it and be able to keep your pants on (or shorts, at least). PS- The heart boxers are cute, but not good for the professional look. Perhaps the man can get some other boxers for you.

Cats, being tropical/desert creatures in origin, seem to tolerate heat pretty well. If it’s REALLY HOT, you may find them curled up in the cool porcelain sink or sprawled out belly down on the coolest tile floor they can find…

I lost power due to the hurricane too. My dog kept laying on the AC vent and looking at me like when are you going to turn it on?
