One person doesn’t create an environment in which the employees repeat whatever nonsense is agreed upon by the higher-ups, in support of a dubious agenda. This was just a part of a “vast right wing conspiracy” and the loss of one of the participants will have little effect.
I am surprised it took this long to establish sexual harassment at Fox News. the dress code requirements for the ladies alone must be grounds for harassment. Long legs.. short skirts.. anorexic body.. seating positions designed to show a little (lot of) leg. …………..
It has more to do with us. Apparently the average Joe would rather have news of the National Enquirer type. They don’t want to spend time digging into real news but would rather be scandalized and immersed in conspiracies for entertainment. They want to hear the lies that bolster their personal bias. “We have met the enemy and they are US!”
I highly doubt the Fox News bubble has burst just yet. It’s not like the likes of Rupert Murdock is going to replace Ailes with anyone less conservative.
Wow, you mean a career sleazebag was exposed as being a career sleazebag? What a complete and total shock! (Of course, Murdoch is a career sleazebag also………)
Don’t forget Karl Rove’s rant about “Ohio Can’t have gone for Obama”, so their bimbo anchor walked to the tally room to check on the “mistake”, instead of staying with the reported facts.
Expect nothing to change at Fixed News, certainly not in the short run. Rupert Murdoch himself has taken over running the show, and don’t forget that Mr. Ailes was HIS choice to create the network in the first place. Mr. Murdoch comes from a tradition of highly partisan “news” sources, so he sees nothing unusual or wrong in owning one. He owns many, and they all have that RM touch.
AlexanderTheGoodEnoughStnley Mosk, while he was attorney general of California, said the easiest way to tell an extremist is that they have no self-directed humor.
GOP humor (per Sean Kelly) is always a variation on “If you’re so good, why aren’t you white/wealthy/male/ablebodied?”.GOP criticism seems to consist of spelling someone’s name wrong. It’s screamingly witty, eh?

Now that CNN and MSNBC have morphed into Fox babies, Ailes can drift down on his golden parachute, secure in the knowledge of a job well done.
