    Hubs watched The Searchers while I was in the hospital giving birth to our second child and only son. Just as well, he wouldn’t have been any help, anyway.

    My father was in the US cavalry while they still had horses.I’ve seen all four of Wayne’s cavalry movies more times than I could possibly remember and I didn’t see them as often as he did. He knew the dialogue so well that when he lost his hearing he still knew what the actors were saying.I was also raised on Roy Rogers and the Lone Ranger.I personally hope the director of that stinking mess that Disney tried to pawn off on people a couple years back gets scurvy or warts or….

    From Michael——missanyssa, everyone loved the ballad of TMWSLV….except the director, John Ford. He hated it and had it removed along with part of the music soundtrack.
