Sounds like the work week for someone starting up their own business. Then, years later, the employees wonder why they don’t make as much as the owner — they’re working just as hard as he is now.
The place I retired from flirted with 10 hour days for a 4 day work week. I couldn’t see the wisdom of that…….I knew the guys out in the lab probably would be able to pull it off, but I knew the support staff just would waste the 10 hours and enjoy the 3 days off.
Congress does nothing for 3 days, does nothing for the other 4, does nothing for their 37 week vacation, and yet the Republic endures (somehow or other…….)
