As of a few minutes ago, the IOC has once again wimped out and kissed Putin’s rump.
They ‘supported the ban of Russian athletes for doping but then…just a few minutes ago said that “maybe some Russian athletes could compete individually if they were clean and would be allowed to carry the Russian flag ".
What the hell part of banned don’t they understand ?
Russia always has and always will do anything possible to win – including using Peds. Allowing them to compete in Rio adds more to the international disgrace and laughing stock the IOC has become.
FIFA’s crooks look like choirboys compared to the ladrones of the IOC !!
That was always in dispute because of the number of other athletes who’d skirted the drug rules.
I was speaking specifically to the track and field competitors. At first the IOC waffled and said that if a Russian athlete was clean and could prove it – probably a note from their mother would suffice – then they could compete as individuals under the Olympic flag. Now, they’re saying that they can compete under the Russian flag !What the hell’s the sense of a ban if you’re not going to adhere to it.
The Russians are laughing their tails off at the IOC. Maybe Putin will send some of his hooligans to Rio as track and field fans ?
