They’re sitting on a couch in Bernice’s dorm room, blabbering like silly teens about how grown up they are, due to one trip to New York where they got kicked out of a club for being underage.

The way they parted, I am not sure, if they were ever really in love, perhaps infatuation, as Quill is real hot and talented, but not love. No tears? No one brought to their knees in grief?

Unless you can think when the song is done No other is left in the rhythm;Unless you can feel when left by one That all men else go with him;Unless you can know when upraised by his breath That your beauty itself wants provingUnless you can swear, “For life, for death!” Oh, fear to call it loving!

I think their biggest recent changes are that they became more open to trying new things, and they became less afraid of learning those new things somewhat on their own. Those are GREAT attitudinal changes to utilize in college where there are such wonderful opportunities for new learning, new perspectives, new skill sets, new interactions, and new dreams and goals. I think several of the characters are going to find they have strengths and interests that never crossed their minds in earlier years. Becoming more receptive is one of the first necessary steps to take advantage of such a wealth of opportunity, as is coming to appreciate the treasure.

A sofa in a dorm room? My dorm room had an 10 X 10 space for each of the two students. That space had the bed, a desk, and the closet. Absolutely no room for a sofa.

It amazes me how many people do not recall that maturation took quite a lot of time and happened in segments for all of us. Luann and Bernice have recent moved into a very important phase: one where they have become less sheltered and more open to new experiences, new information, and thinking more for themselves. That is actually a huge step but incredibly difficult to illustrate. It DOES make possible a range of future changes, though, ones that would have been impossible with more closed or fearful minds.

Yeah, they became so much mature on account of their experiences in NYC that it turned them into women. There was the time when they lost their credit cards and they had to figure out how to handle the situation, and the time when “Muncher” suffered an adverse drug reaction and they had to call 911, deal with the staff in the Emergency Room and then the police, and there was the time when they witnessed a street crime and had to come to someone’s aid, and… oh wait, none of that happened. Well, they stayed in a hotel, ate Korean food, took a taxi, and rode on the subway! Yep, they’re fully mature women now, you bet!

Now that I gave the simple answer, here is the more detailed one..Aaron Hill last had a speaking role (other than a flashback) over ten years ago, on August 15, 2005.He has been referenced exactly six times in the past seven years (August 23, 2009; April 10, 2010; August 19, 2010; August 7, 2011; February 17, 2013; and the most recent, on February 14 of this year)..Does that seem like a character Greg and Karen will bring back just because a few commenters ask?.(The question was rhetorical.)

[the immaturity] to post negative put-downs Instead of attacking the character of @seismic-2, can you please tell him and us why you disagree? I want to hear all views here, and @seismic-2 usually makes me think, even when I disagree.

…and they spent four minutes in a night club without talking to anyone or ordering anything. I don’t think those four minutes of looking at the place made women out of them, quite.

Erendirani, FF is paraphrasing something Trump told people today. It was in the news; he basically said he was not releasing his tax info, but i can not recall the exact wording.

FF, unless i am confusing you w another poster, you are rather new to the strip? The Evanses do introduce real world issues, from female development, to drug use in high school, to child abandonment, and more, so when people discuss how the strip crosses w the real world that is invited by the sort of subject matter that comes up. As someone said very assutely a few months ago — and i am paraphrasing and not saying it as well as that person did: it is better to over think things than under think them.

I believe someone may have commented on it earlier, but just for emphasis, the basis for the gag in this strip comes from the pairing of the “Luann Againn” rerun with today’s, as quoted on Luann’s FB page:-

“Was it brilliant planning or coincidence that led today’s LUANN and LUANN AGAINN to pair so perfectly?”
