Tiff is rich and well traveled. She owns the real stuff, and so she knows fakes.

Maybe Ann is a spy for Putin. Mueller may have good reason to investigate her.

Bingo! Tiff doesn’t want her father dating a career criminal.

But because Ann has also been coming between Tiff and her father, that gives Tiff more emotional fuel to get creative and nasty.

Ann did not sell them the real thing. Tiff knew they were fakes by examining them, and smelling the perfume.

Ann’s almost certainly headed to the calaboose.

But, of course, she could do some time and then cause more havoc after her release.

Well… they could just cut through the crap and call in TJ the Terminator!

The DeGroots (including Luann) should be informed first.

The DeGroots and their partner – Al Gray – should have a summit conference and then decide rationally how to proceed, perhaps after consulting with an attorney. Presumably, either the police or the D.A. would be brought in at the appropriate point.

Bernice agrees with that strategy. But Des is flipping right into sheer panic – “Where’s my money?” – mode. “CALL THE COPS NOW! She might get away!”

And Tiff may try something outlandish. I guess she could call her father, but that seems very premature.

Typical business law is that business owners can often be held civilly liable for the actions of their employees, including contract employees. Criminally liable, only if they knew about the crime.

But Ann is not an employee of the Fuse. She’s rented space from them for short term use. I don’t think they would be held responsible unless it could be proved that they were in on the scam or knew about it. Same applies to Al Gray. He’s a Fuse owner and her brother, but that’s not proof of guilt.

Landlords usually don’t have to vet tenants who rent business or residential space from them.

Capricorn: Actually, I’m enjoying all the excitement just fine. But I agree with your sentiments that Ann should go to the slammer this time, for at least a few years.

Sure. And then she gets tossed overboard when he gets the call from Tiff.

Well, if the authorities don’t drag Ann off in chains, then eviction by TJ might be the next best development.
