By punks, he means:“Bureaucrats! They wouldn’t let me open an ice cream stand.”

While yet also being pro-argue with a straw man construct represented by an empty chair. Not exactly Clint’s finest hour.

Mr. Eastwood got old. It happens to the best of us. I visited Carmel a few times when I was training in Monterey, but that was before his term.

Lacey was such a sweetheart. The Republicans sorely need a few of her.

The good thing about punks is there’s an easy solution: .44 Magnum. Do ya feel lucky today, punks?

not vex, me his wife, as usual….i thought the empty chair seemed an empty gesture, it did not vilify Obama at all. Not being a fan of stars or GOP, i had the impression he was pressured into it and made a half assed nod to please them, or somebody. It really wasn’t damning as fox and other media presented it, in fact it would not have passed for a roasting joust. got the impression he hoped audiences would pick up on that

An empty chair gag works when the supposed “guest” hasn’t shown. But there was no reason to expect Obama to show up. Perhaps Clint could have had an imaginary Reagan occupy the empty chair and asked the Gipper to explain why Romney was the better candidate.

@mabrndtDo others have a problem viewing ? I can’t tell because, of course, I can see both my post and yours clearly on my laptop. Mabrndt, if you see this, or anybody else, for that matter, let me know if you could not see the mem as I posted, and what you did see. Thanks.

Clint is a good guy. I didn’t like the empty chair bit, but like President Obama said, I will continue to enjoy his movies. As some posters here know, I wasn’t born in this country; I came here when I was 7 years old. The first American movie I remember seeing was “Coogan’s Bluff” on an old black&white Zenith.

The thing is, when I see an empty chair, I think of the empty chairs in Oklahoma City, each representing a person Timothy McVey killed, big ones for adults, little ones for children..It is irritating to think America has such monsters.
