Spiff is taken back to labor in the salt mines of planet Zorg for at least another 3 hours.

I’ve often wondered how much of Calvin’s running narration of Spiff’s adventures is spoken aloud. Is Miss Wormwood aware of her status as “a disgusting scum being”?

And so the Valiant Spaceman Spiff was condemned to seven days of school five hours every five days, with fewer recesses.

You’d think Calvin would have been riding “the little bus” to “the special school” a long time ago.

But no. He made it through school, became a businessman, and changed his last name to “Trump”.

Unfortunately, Calvin became permanently divorced from our everyday reality when he shrewdly entered the trading game and made a killing in derivatives for himself and Goldman Sachs. And, although he was discovered and investigated, he was never prosecuted. A billionaire, and clutching his stuffed tiger, he retired into his fantasy world in which Spaceman Spiff had been engulfed by a slime being curiously named Calvin. And so it goes (apologies to K.V.)

Yep! It is HMAS Vampire early days. The Bow (front to landlubbers) is about 12 ft out of the water. The photo taken before this it is under water to about where the white water runoff is. I spent 3yrs on Vendetta, including Vietnam and 3 yrs on Vampire during and after it’s modernization. Vampire is at the Australian Maritime museum in Sydney.

As a foreigner who doesn’t understand summer band camps, can I ask Leading Edge and Stew Bek: Are Summer Band Camps held to prepare students for playing in high school and college bands, and also the many competitive bands that the U.S. is famous for? A whole summer! Wow. Do you get payed for that? Cheers.

Perhaps the six year olds should just be put in factories to clean the fluff off the combs like in the good old days. That would be far better than teaching them to read, write, and all that nonsense.
