I don’t think she wants anything to do with Gunther. Speaking of which, lets get back to Gunther and Tiffany. I want them to become an item.

-Bernice, you were doing ok in the first frame, when you changed ‘we’ to ‘I had a good time’. Piro actually said more to you then he ever did before, so if you stop acting like you’re chasing him, maybe he’ll come around on his own…

He looks kind of old for her, then again, she does look 12, rather than 18

I get the feeling that the ‘forward’ Bernice is speaking knowing full well Piro is out of earshot.

There she goes again, reading more into the situation than there really is.-Oh! He left his scarf in my room! That means he likes me!-Oh! He said “see ya later.” That means we have a date!-No Bernice. That’s just what some people say instead of goodbye. I say it, and so do most of the people I know. Bernice is hopeful, but with little reason. Piro IS being nice, but as usual, moving on to something else, like he has another compelling agenda somewhere. He is also showing he has been around.

Interesting question…what exactly, HAS been accomplished this week? Well, let’s see…

Tiffany revealed exactly how she feels about Gunther…Tiffany also acted selflessly, trying to distract Piro so Gunther could have a clear shot at Bernice…She also allowed herself to be humiliated – just on his behalf.

Now, Gunther’s skull might be so thick in matters of romance that he could head-butt a rhino, but he’s not an idiot – all this has to penetrate eventually.

It didn’t take much conversation with Piro to get Bernice’s hormones flowing and get her loosened up. Have we ever seen her in a pose like that of panel 3, smile/smirk/leer on her face and hand on her hip? Look out, New York City!

I wonder why we never see a frontal face of Piro, only profiles .(?)

Re: silent films: some time ago here the Perils of Pauline came up. Last night i recalled long ago reading that her hillside running scenes w rolling boulders were shot before there were light weight fakes to substitute for the real thing.

Piro showed more attention to the RA than to Paris. and the RA did a Paris – like pose at the end there. that’s weird for her to do. someone’s waking up!stay tuned.

Well, that’s Piro’s charm. He actually knows what Bernice likes and talks about it with her, rather than just sitting there feeling sorry for himself. But, hey, whatever floats your boat.

So, Bernice thinks she has something going with Piro. She must also think Gunter took Tiffany away from him. What a delemma! Speaking of Tiff & Gunther lets get back to the popped off button situation!

It doesn’t seem like Piro is interested in either Bernice or Tiffany. Maybe he’s not interested in ladies at all…. :-)

Good for you Bernice. Finally she gets some character development instead of always being somebody’s foil.

And I have the simplest solution for Bernice – since she met Piro through Dez, her roommate, why not ask her. Sure she’ll probably give the answer using astrology metaphors but at least she would get to find out something more definite

Bernice is so desperate, she is pathetic. She chases after a guy who shows her the slightest bit of attention.

Bernice has been unlikeable as long as I’ve been reading this comic. Tiffany has become much more likeable.

I was just talking about silent movies w a young friend who has considerably impaired vision from a bad systemic infection as a child and it hit me that there are some overlaps w people i have know through the years and some of Piro’s behaviors. Take a look.

Arghhhhh, hit send to soon, but if you look you will see that partial hearing loss, of even tintinitus with or without such loss might alternatively explain some things about Piro. There are a number of possible explanations, of course!

Okay. So Gunther needs to be aware of this and forget about Bernice.

People with Asperger’s tend to be extremely bright in spite of being socially handicapped. That could fit Gunther.

Why wasn’t the same level of attention given to Luann and Quill? Why set up that they meet in the theater world and have so much in common, but then not use that? She and Bernice could still have their girl power NYC trip. Love seeing Bernice and others evolve, but why not Luann when you’ve set up that she has the capabilities? And why write out all the people of color like Delta and Rosa?

Bernice needs to make sure that she goes to the silent films while in NYC so that she’ll have something to discuss with Piro when she returns.

I wonder if the relationship between Piro and Bernice will progress the way Quill and Luann’s did at the very beginning…that is, they ignore the others that try to horn their way in (Tiffany again!) and just let their relationship develop…if it’ll develop, that is.

Hopefully after the requisite Easter stuff tomorrow Monday we return to preparations for Luann and Bernice’s trip to New York. Greg can’t put this off for too long because there are only about two months (max) left in the academic term and we couldn’t have this going on during the summer, unless of course that arc is finished. If Bernice returns as a more cultured ‘new woman’ (according to her), maybe she’ll be more interesting to Piro. By inserting this Piro arc in between where we find that Piro has some New York connection, maybe this lays some ground work for some relationship between Piro and Bernice.
