I am still not clear on why they think they should be able to extract a value from a resource held in common by all citizens without paying for it like all other western ranchers.

Are you suggesting that Obama would not bomb them because they are white but would bomb then if they were colored?
Obama is Commander in Chief of the military and the FBI and CIA come under him. Maybe Kate Brown governor of Oregon could use the National Guard to bomb then. She is a liberal Democrat with close ties to Obama.
