They DID SO have their own plan! It involved protecting the special interests (profits) of the corporations and medical groups which, I mean WHO, had already staked out their own privileged areas, and secondly, simply to stymie a man they do not like (for several reasons).
Might I offer the Republiklans a plan? Simply expand Medicare. It’s already in place, people know how to work with it and it’s a no-brainer for the no-brain party of the GOP.
My conservative friend outlined their plan perfectly. “Let them die in the streets like they do in India!”. I am not lying, that is what he said and he meant it.
Yes Sue, we will blame them. Because the simple fact remains… that the GOP had over twenty years to craft their own plan and failed to do so. For over twenty years they sat around and watched as the problem got worse, to the point that companies failed and pension plans disappeared because of outrageous medical costs and an unchecked insurance industry.
greenearthmanI loved my socialized medicine plan too. Our family doctor would get a paper published in a major medical journal every year just to stay alert. This was in Canada, of course.
Hate to tell you, but the PP&ACA, also known, ridiculously as “Obamacare,” IS the Republican plan and always was. But since it was introduced by a Democrat, the Republicans have to react to it with blind hatred even though they wrote it. It does little but enrich insurance companies, which was of course the intention. There is no real reason for Republicans to hate or fear it, nor any for Democrats to like it. It’s all just theater.

Suppose it’d help if we changed the name to “RombamaCare”?
