I suppose it sounds pretty sad, but I have plenty of in-person interactions with my family — and I prefer other methods of communication (largely IRC) for interacting with my friends — so, eh. It’s not that bad for me. :p

Thus Jason misses the point of the internet. People use it just to MAKE the ignorant comments. You take that away, what’s left for them to do?
