Moreover, merely recognizing a box is called a router doesn’t mean you know what one is. No matter how much one knows, there is infinitely more not known. Like, you know, humility.

I think we need to clarify what the word “income” means. I insist it means ALL acquired monies, not just what is worked for. Besides, you forget that 1. people on the lowest levels must expend ALL monies to survive, and 2. the wealthy get to make the ru!es, ensuring that paying taxes leaves them with most of their wealth intact.

Any tax based on spending rather than income heavily favors the wealthy and seriously disadvantages the poor. I live a state which does so. The wealthy do not spend even a tiny fraction of their “income” while those who have little or nothing must expend all to merely survive.

Perhaps one, the other or neither – however, human males have most of history used physical force, laws, customs and economic franchise to hold leverage over women; not really obscure knowledge. Additionally, men are pretty blind to the facts and can be really obtusely defensive in their denial. Kinda of like the “question” you just posed. One can question its good faith intention, given that obviously, of those posting here, only you know the people involved. I refer you to my statement above about men (well, people) being blind to effects and motives of their own actions.
