Not all that long ago I needed some repair work done on one of our homes. I looked in the Yellow Pages (remember those? They had real yellow paper pages) and there was several businesses offering the services I needed. The first three were answered with a machine and of course, I hung up. On the fourth attempt a woman answered and she identified herself as the wife of the contractor.
I told her what I wanted and she asked if I needed an estimate. I told her I didn’t, only that I needed a commitment on the time the work would be done. She was able to give me an appointment time and I told her thanks and I’ll see her husband on the appointed day.
As I was about to hang up, she asked me why I chose their company? I told her “Because you answered the phone!”

If it were me I’d say “But your call isn’t important to me” and hang up.

When he comes on the line tell him…" I’m realty busy right now give me your home number and what time you eat dinner…I’ll call you back.
