    When Superman took a physical in a comic book back when I was a pre-teen. He was told to read the smallest line he could see on the chart.He said, “Printed in the USA”.

    I can recall charts for illiterates (or preliterate children) consisting of nothing but E – through a mix of 90° rotations – point the direction the three lines are pointing.
