If more people had a friend like Mutt, there’d be a lot fewer people with credit card debt.

Mutt should do the math for the people who will drive 40 miles one way out of their way to save 3 cents a gallon on gas even if the car gets 20 mpg or more.

Doing the math would solve a lot of our problems and keep a lot of people out of elected office.

Its .0897, so just under 9 cents a week!

I wonder what a new $2000 car would look like!

Charles:Today, not much, but my dad’s first new car, with automatictransmission was $1500 – in 1951.

Is he going to get back the deposit payment he financed?

My head is all in a muddle with all these number figures.

Another Sunday without Mutt and Jeff! Thankfully, you can go back on the calendar and check out Sundays from years gone by. But, since Go Comics already has those old Sunday copies of Mutt and Jeff in the archive – it seems odd that Go Comics wouldn’t just pull one of those old Sunday strips out and post it again for the current Sundays. First car I bought was a new, Red VW Bug back in 1966 – and it cost $1,200. Didn’t have any emissions issues either! Would be great to still be able to get a fully functioning automobile for $1,200!

Right on Lois, of all the years this strip ran, we get constant reruns and missed Sunday strips! Who admins this one??
