I can’t argue with that. I’ve been saying for years that the schools have to enforce discipline if we want our children to learn what’s taught.Teachers cannot teach if they spend most of their time dealing with rebellious behaviour by one or three kids in their classrooms.Sounds like I back the cop but I don’t. I truly believe he should face assault charges for his behaviour.I believe the teacher ought to be dismissed as he had lost control of his class long ago.The administrator? I’d hate to have that job.Trying to rectify all the regulations with each other and parental expectations, adding in budget problems and the legislators constantly cutting funds, teachers’ union demands – people can really grow callous at the job.
It’s just a terrible infringement of rights for the government to raise taxes on the rich, but it’s just fine if a policeman throws a young girl to the ground and breaks her arm, because she had it coming.

In my day…but this isn’t the good old days. Teachers are told to NEVER touch a student. Heck, they can even get in trouble for hugging a kid.
If the disruptive student would not leave, then the teacher should have taken the rest of the class into the hall.
I fear that young woman may have baited that teacher as she told the cell phone videographer to begin filming.
It does not forgive that resource officer. He is a bully who has gotten away with it before, I bet.

I’ve got no sympathy for the kid. The only thing hurt were feelings.

I knew if I read a little way, I would find somebody defending the indefensible. I am pleased, though, that there has only been one.

exactly WHAT made that student think she could get away with blatant disrespect, disobeying a direct order, and not pay a price?
