Excuses, excuses. Give it a rest, Jason, and still set the flippin’ table.

There were few, if any, kids in Juan de Onate’s party when he and his explorers held a Thanksgiving feast in 1598 near what is now El Paso, Texas. This is believed to be the first feast of thanksgiving by European settlers to be held in what would become the U.S, over 20 years before any similar feast on the eastern coast.

If Jason thinks he has a raw deal at Thanksgiving just let him remember the Native Americans.

The first Canadian Thanksgiving is often traced back to 1578 and the explorer Martin Frobisher. At least that’s what we learned in school and now it’s on the internet so how could it be wrong? lol Anyway, the 2nd Thanksgiving of the year is a bit much.

There also weren’t cranberries because the Pilgrims didn’t have sugar, and the kids drank beer.
