Out of all the things that could have been in that shed I was not expecting an elephant-fairy. What will it look like after it’s eaten, I wonder…?

To answer a question posed here a few days ago, when I posted a link to a high resolution image of the comic ; I discovered it when the Zazzle ad to the right of the comics failed a few months ago, and Richard Thompson, creator of Cul de Sac, noticed that if you clicked on the proto-Zazzle ad, it produced a very high resolution image of his comic. Last week was the first time I tried to look for the link, but I found it this way: open up the source code for this page. Then search for “zazzle”. By about the third instance of that word, you should find code that ends in “?mime=gif”. Highlight and Copy the section of code that starts with “http” to “mime=gif”, and Paste it to your address bar.

OK, the question in MY mind at this point is WHAT is it hungry for? What do elephant-fairies eat? Wiley is one person I would never accuse of having no imagination. :)

There was a character on Dexters’ Laboratory, a plnk elephant with wings with Dom Deluise’s voice, that only Dexters’ sister could see or hear.

Wiley, I think chairump is thinking along the lines that the GOP’s mascot is an elephant and that the party has shrunk to a fraction of its original size.

Then again, it’s hard to understand exactly how the far right thinks, so I may be completely off base.

    Eletelephony by Laura Richards

Once there was an elephant, Who tried to use the telephant- No! No I mean an elephone who tried to use the telephone. (Dear me! I am not certain, quite, That even now I’ve got it right.) Howe’re it was, he got his trunk Entangled in the telephunk; The more he tried to get it free, The louder buzzed the telephee- (I fear I’d better drop the song Of Elephop and Telephong.)

SHEIK: No wonder you get complements on your avatar. That’s Rudolph Valentino, the heart throb of silent movie times. And no I wasn’t around to see him. As to the tiny elephant, does he remind anyone of the Dr. Seuss book “Horton Hears the Who” character?

    ArthurAllen,

Not necessarily high res, but a larger version on the comic can be seen by left clicking on it. A second left click restores it.

Hey ArthurAllen – thanks for the explanation! Kinda kludgy, but it works, and it is far better than the ‘zoom click’ method I was using!

Now if we can just get past this “if it is an elephant/donkey it must refer to the GOP/Democrats” mindset. Sometimes a cigar is just a smoke after all!

It’s entirely possible that this thing appeared in Dexter’s laboratory, but I seem to remember something like it from some kid’s story too. I can’t remember the details but I think it caused a lot of trouble. Seems like Danae has found a new partner in that sense.

Yes “Horton Hears a Who” but someone mentioned “Heffalump” which is from “Winnie the Pooh”. So what do we have, a Heffalump, or a Who from Whoville, or something else entirely? I CAN’T WAIT TO SEE! :-)

Actually, this one is neither a Heffalump or a Whoville Horton. Seems to me I remember now it might be one of the Sunday thread characters. Can’t remember all the characters off the top of my head, but the one about heaven, with the dog that changes from being a dog to a duck to a elephant fairy? Somebody help, Wiley?
