I freeze in the evening, than I like it to bury myself into the pillows, but in the morning, already at three o’clock it becomes warm and I get up very early, it’s too warm in my bed!!

I don’t know, in Southern California, it’s a nice change to get to pull up a blanket over just the sheet at night.

Then again, we really do miss snow (and rain, and fog, and not having to use something on dry lips, and, and, and….)

Northeasterner here. Would you like snow, freezing rain, or hail for this morning’s misery?

Well Calvin, my folks used to tell me that getting up on a frigid morning would give me “character”. So, yes, that’s what people say of me these days: “What a character!”

We don’t usually get temps below the forties but with terrazo floors and no heat in the apartment, it’s hard to get out of bed!

I’m with ya, Cal. Thankfully, I don’t have to get up any more to go anywhere.

‘fleece blankets’: we just tried those for the first time last year. I’m surprised they haven’t been outlawed…

My dad was stingy with the heat too. I would rather have been warm and toasty than well fed – given I didn’t think much of my Mom’s cooking anyway.

Th higher altitudes in socal can get chilly and Las Vegas can get downright cold (and very hell like in the summer).I really wish that anyone who wasn’t born here would go somewhere else. SoCal was a great place in the 60s(except for the smog and they have that figured out now.)

Worst part is that Hobbes will no doubt stay in bed until he darn well feels like coming out.

I check in for my morning smile every morning at C & H. However, I’ve found that I also really appreciate reading some of the very witty and wise comments by other regular readers and commentators at this site. It was enough that I actually signed up so that I could post this “Thank you” for your daily thoughts and humour. Much appreciated.
