Goat: At what point does a home repair project become too big and too complex for you. Such that you feel the need to call in a repair professional? Rat: If it involves a hammer. Goat: Not the handy type? Rat: Or if the battery cover falls off the remote.

No problems here — I just use the handyman’s secret weapon, duct tape.:Keep your stick on the ice.

I would like to see Rat change a light bulb.

The “professionals”, would hate having to do home repairs on my folks place. My dad’s a former plant engineer who used to have to design and build new additions to the various plants he worked in and he hates doing repairs there. It’s either the guy who built the place or the previous owner had no right doing construction work of any kind because even a job that oughta take no more than thirty minutes ends up taking at least three to six hours, if not a week or more to complete.

Rat doesn’t understand the concept of not being angry when using a hammer.

I understand Rat and feel his lack of handyman skills! Though, usually, I can get the battery cover back on the remote….

Repair professionals cost lots of money. I just had to hire one to repair the damage to my garage that a neighbor’s tree fell on. Bill was $2145!

Today’s helpful Don’t It Yourself tip: DO NOT NAIL THE BATTERIES IN PLACE IF THE BATTERY COVER COMES OFF. Trust me on this….

A lot of things you can do yourself if you are home to do them. Mr Pastis is on the road so much he must always hire out. Nothing wrong with that as long as you can find good reliable help :-)

What’s with the wall. Is Pastis hijacking “Peanuts” now? Is Rat going to hold the football for Pig?

If it weren’t for Harley Davidson, The Ford Motor Co. and old Philco radios, I wouldn’t be sitting here in air-conditioned comfort today. Oh, and don’t forget typing class, always helps to know how to type if one is going to run an Army comm center.

The last time Rat had a hammer, everything looked like a nail.
