In my son’s graduating class, there were two transgender students. One graduated with their birth name even though they went to school year-round as the other gender. The other went by their chosen name. I was surprised and pleased that nobody batted an eye and just rolled with it.
Funny. While I can now see that the cartoon almost certainly meant to suggest the transgender question, my thought before looking at the comments was that a multiple birth was in progress. (“Check back later” to see what/who comes next.) I guess that shows that I really don’t find the whole transgender issue to be very important.
