Argy, today is the date Dick Cheney came to the conclusion the deaths of the people in the towers and on the planes, could be used as great excuses for invading Iraq…..Yep, using their deaths for personal financial gain….Great guy…..If you’re a Brown Shirt…

Now-a-days, candidates can’t say why you should vote for them, because other candidates will twist it and use it against them.

I actually wrote in Pat Paulson that year. He was the only one running who actually admitted to being a comedian.

Gosh, wouldn’t it be great if all of Obama’s supporters wouldn’t defend his many faults by saying “He’s better than Bush”?

What does it matter now?

I have a policy come election time. Anybody whose entire campaign is “that other guy would be bad for the job because” instead of “I’d be good for the job because” automatically loses my vote..I haven’t voted since 1976.

Actually I thought it was Bill who elevated demonizing the opposition to an art. And now all (and I do mean ALL) flatter him by imitation.

Sometimes comics are too easy. As in cheap shots. It is pretty easy to say why we should vote for Bernie Sanders: the man in honest, consistent, and principled in his opposition to economic and political injustice.

Pretending all politicians are the same, not taking sides, is a cop out. All that is necessary for evil to triumph is for good people to do nothing (Edmund Burke).

It is always the decisions of the previous administrration that cause the problems, it is a trickle down of the new policies.

Another gotcha, so easy to deal with idiots. Do they ever think for themselves; or just preprogramed?

We need Flo to moderate a debate or two.That’ll thin down the herd.

Gweedo, nice comeback…And .I agree with jlpen…..We can, and are almost obligated to make fun of politics, but we should always take it seriously…Politics may be a game, but it’s a game that can kill you, or a loved one, even when you aren’t playing….Might as well play…..

I have a button that says this. I wear it every time there’s a presidential election.

For once, Captain Eddy has nothing to say. I’d like to “hear” his take on all this. Probably be less stretching of the truth than his other stories.

It’s the positive campaigning that’s the worst. They keep promising to do something, and every time they keep one of those promises, they screw things up worse.

Flo is what Republicans (and far too many men, thankfully not all) fear the most. A smart and self confident woman,
