I would go with the cheaper competition. It is about time her monopoly was challenged.

Good, Snoopy. Lucy reminds me of a career planning adviser I had in college.

Snoopy offers friendly competition. This will make Lucy think about her prices and the quality of her services.

The look on Lucy’s face in the last panel makes me think her reaction is, “What? You mean my advice isn’t friendly?”

Which it usually isn’t, especially when given to Charlie Brown.

Even if Snoopy can’t talk, giving him a friendly pat on the head would still make you feel a lot better than anything that blowhard Lucy would say.

@PauljmsnA wide-spread confusion. Capitalism deals with sources and distribution of capital in large and/or capital intensive businesses. With all their five-year-plans, old time communist governments were very capitalistic. Competition is a totally different dimension. The free market speaks to that dimension: free access to try your hand at providing value to the market place and consumer choice. Capitalism and the free market are not necessarily at odds, but in the era of large (tending toward omnipotent) government, playing the game with the socialist or fascist powers that be becomes necessary for corporate survival – and that generally affects larger corporations first. It took me quite some time to come to peace with distributist theory (explicit in GK Chesterton, implied in JRR Tolkien); I simply had to realize I had conflated capitalism (with its fixation with bigness even if free market) with the true free market. We live in an imperfect world, so economic freedom will never make things perfect – but it will work better than unnatural control from any human organization, whether government or business (including the unholy offspring of those two).
