And doing nothing will give them the green light to go ahead a because neither Iran nor our allies are going to wait around any longer. Already our allies have said they’re no longer interested in our sanctions. Conservatives have no better option. More sanctions? Hah! Who’ll impose them? War? Idiotic thing to do, and America doesn’t want it. This deal does not invite anyone to make more nukes.
It’s very high on their agenda. It’s coming out right on the heels of their replacement for Obamacare. And an overhaul of the tax code soon after that.
And they’re gonna start work on it right after the next recess.
I can not even imagine that with all of the publicity that the Iranians would be able to just thumb their noses at the entire international community and continue to attempt to build their own nuclear weapons and delivery systems. It just is not logical to think that they could do that.
Besides which, if they really wanted such weapons, I am equally certain that they could be obtain (for vast amounts of money, but Iran is stil a very wealthy nation, even with the sanctions) at least small suitcase style tactical nuclear weapons.
Heck, even the likes of ISIS could probably do that. But just what good would it do them.? Any time such a weapon was set off anywhere in the world (Israel, the USA, anywhere) the methodology now exists for the world’s nations to find out who did it, and the country sponcering such would then become a nuclear wasted parking lot. And what good would that do ANY cause?
Could that perhaps be just why such weapons have not been used since the two dropped on Japan at the end of WWII? Hmmmmm…could be!!
Yes, it does prevent Iran from getting a weapon, while using nuclear energy for profit, like being able to SELL more of their oil instead fo buringing it themselves. That’s another part of Bibi’s plan to punish them economically, as Israels uses nuclear energy. and a huge nuclear weapons stockpile to mandate “Middle East Policy” to the U.S..
The world outside of BIbi and the right wingnuts know it’s a good thing, which is why the pro-war lobby hates it.

Too many have forgotten that President Reagan negotiated and signed a nuclear arms treaty with the Soviet Union.
