That was one of the most popular games when I was in 4th grade. People who didn’t want to play, didn’t. No game should be compulsory.____________________________________________When I was in elementary school in the 1970s, our choices were play or fail (unless you had a note from a parent or doctor). The bullies (I was a favorite target from 3rd grade straight up to graduation) would purposely hit me as hard as they could with the ball, “oops” and “apologize”. The teachers couldn’t prove that it was done maliciously, so they got away with it. Every. Single. Time. It was also one of the most popular games in my school, but for the above reason.

Are you a man or a mouse? I must be a man, my wife is afraid of mice.

I’m not frightened by mice, though I do remember a time a mouse ran up my pants leg. I was doing some dance moves I didn’t know that could be done. I still chuckle when I think about it. Poor mouse was more freaked out than I was.

I was not bullied in school, but was at the bottom of the pecking order. Now, have outlived most of them.

    Q. In the old days, when we went out to the corn crib to shovel ear corn, why did we take an extra pair of shoelaces?A. To tie around the pants legs to avoid having mice run up the legs!NOTE: A lady in a full skirt didn’t dare go in there!!

The worst whooping my brother ever received from my mom was because he placed a realistic looking rubber mouse on her bed pillow…

My mom did NOT appreciate my rubber mouse when I was 6 or so – boy, did I get a whipping from dad.
