I like Arizona’s idea, in fact I wish I could move there. Not so much the politics, but more the weather, then if you have intelligent government, that is cream cheese icing on the Carrot cake

“Is it fair to apply our laws for some but ignore our laws for others?”

In the U.S. that seems to depend on how you were born.

Based on the cartoon, it looks like the border would be a good place to start.

maybe we should enforce the immigration laws we already have; or maybe adopt Mexico style immigration laws.

    —Humor alert—

I always thought it stood for “without pasta”.

And how you can tell if a spaghetti noodle is ready to eat–throw one at the wall and it goes wop.

Please let me thank you in advance for allowing me to post my politically incorrect ethnic humor.

“Jade–only if you are part of the Obama Administration (i.e., Eric Holder)!”

Lulz, and here I thought Bush got himself elected the first time based on the fear of equality. I always found that particular fearmongering to be incredibly ironic given that Dick Cheney actually loves his daughter.

A long time co-worker/friend is first generation born in America Italian, member of the “Minutemen’, and TEA party supporter. He listens to Rush constantly, condemns folks who wear a T-shirt with Mexican and American flags, but wears one with Italian and American flags. When I pointed out the Italian flag is just the Mexican one, without the eagle- he really got bent.

If current philosophy isn’t “anti-“Mexican”” why are all the portrayals such in the comics and news reports? Considering my “Mexican-American” friends were here for 30 generations BEFORE my “Italian-American” friend, why should they be “reasonably suspect”- and he not???

My ancestors (as noted before) have been in this “country” for 12,000 years- so maybe we should band together to drive out ALL the interlopers?

    LIsa needs a lesson.

You do know that Dick Cheney did not agree with Bush’s stance on homosexuality?

As well there is a difference in love and happiness. Of course if your loved one does something you do not like or agree with you still love them, you may not accept what they did, but you still love them.

Is there not a difference between anti-Mexican and anti-illegal alien? I think that the vast majority of “Minutemen” and “TEA party supporters” are anti-illegal alien, not Mexican. I only hear them saying come here legally.

If you and your ancestors want your country back come take it. I see problem with that, but don’t expect it to be easy.

Radish You said: “So they’ve built like 7 miles of the Bush border fence in Arizona so far? Talk about government inaction…”

I thought it was federal government fence, not Arizona government fence and the hold up is the liberals in the federal government. Talk about government inaction.

“You do know that Dick Cheney did not agree with Bush’s stance on homosexuality?”

Which meant he got up in front of some crowds and said “you know, what’s really the big deal here, all they want is the same happiness you and I have access to and take for granted?” No? Still used ‘the fear” to help motivate the evangelical base? Okay then.

Nobody ever had their hand stamped at a concert or bar? Today’s “technology” makes legalizing guest workers much easier than before.

In talking to two Vietnamese guys working here on computers, one spent time in “re-educaton camps”, the other younger, (He freaked a bit when I described the house he was born in. )BOTH said there was one basic reason they came to work in the U.S. instead of ‘Nam—THE MONEY!!

The constant abuse of “other countries”, declaring the U.S. is the only place with “freedom” is a little trite, though, yes, we do have it better than some. The real reason is “generally” economics, not social conditions.

The ‘guy’ with the big butt on the right looks “white”. Maybe Rush is trying to sneak back in after “visiting” Costa Rica…

    WOP: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wop

”Wop is a U.S. pejorative slur for Italian people. It is derived from the Neapolitan word “guappo” (often pronounced simply as “guap’” in the regional dialect), meaning a person who flaunts an overbearingly cocky and swaggering attitude.”

Italy sued Bell helicopter over the design of the Huey helicopter. The main rotor goes “wop, wop, wop” and the tail rotor goes “ginnie, ginnie, ginnie”.
