PHANTOM: I guess P. didn’t call the twins back after his event in the city or he would have known about the crisis with Guran.

REX MORGAN: I used a poor choice of words when I asked what business Mrs. P’s husband was in. I knew it was the rackets, but what part. I might be wrong, but I think that somehow, Sarah is going to expose what is going on with them by innocently stumbling over something. You know that this strip has shown itself to be morally correct, ever if it has bored us to death at times, so I can’t see them letting Sarah profit by something illegal. Am I making sense to anyone?

MARK TRAIL: Is the shark going to say SURPRISE?

MARY WORTH: How long is this going to take? I see that they have maneuvered the mugger so that his back is to the railing. Is she going to dump him over it into the water?

MARY WORTH: I was wrong yesterday.: It looks like the 2 are coming together again as a team to vanquish the mugger.

Does anyone know when the non-serialized comics began to have the format of having a theme usually beginning on Mondays and when the Sunday strip was off-theme from the rest of the week?

MARY WORTH: Sunday’s panel 7, redux. Thanks woodworker & marvee for the back story info. (see my late post yesterday).PHANTOM: Panel 2 is a pretty picture; there is always a lot of nice artwork in this comic! But I really wanted to know what the back story was with “Apartment Guy” (panel 3). JUDGE PARKER: Does rich-girl Neddy really have to drive such a hard bargain? Is she showing off for Hank? Negotiating is one thing, but now I’m feeling sorry for Mr. Peets, who probably has bills to pay. I await JanCinV’s comment. :-)

Rex Morgan – Woodworker is making perfect sense. And what he’s describing is just the type of complication this story needs.Judge Parker – I don’t feel sorry for Peet at all. He had every opportunity to just tell her “no deal!”Phantom – I haven’t been reading the Sundays, so I went back and read the Iceman arc. That was a good story!Crankshaft – Who’s going to have the last laugh?Mandrake – Yea.

    Ok, Florchi, here goes:

Judge Parker Neddie does drive a hard bargain, but I most enjoyed Hank’s reaction – standing there dumbfounded at a “girl” driving such a hard bargain with such drivel.Mary Worth Yesterday the mugger was wearing a suit jacket with three buttons on the sleeve and a long sleeved dress shirt. Today he’s wearing a windbreaker. Did he excuse himself to go change out of his “Sunday clothes”?Rex Morgan Perhaps Mrs. P is like Michael Corleone. Maybe she is trying or has succeeded in getting rid of her mob connections.

Rex Morgan@Jan, That’s how it has been presented, but like woodworker, I was hoping for an expose and thought Sarah wandering around in the garage might bring it about. The whole setup seemed to me to be robbing Sarah of her childhood and making her a conceited little brat. A few statements recently have shown her to be uncertain. Today’s strip illustrates the danger of too much indiscriminate praise.Judge Parker – Unrealistic.Mary Worth – Repeat.Phantom – I, too, was hoping to learn more details about what just happened. Commenters at CK seem to think they were Mawataan, where they first met Hawa before she joined the Jungle Patrol. Is that the capital city?
