Two people stand amid tornadoes, rising tides, and sunlight due to climate change. They look at a burning head that resembles Mitch McConnell. Woman: It's the Mitch McConnell memorial. It's made of coal.
If coal is so good, why did most folks leap @ the chance to rid their homes of coal furnaces for natural gas? I remember my father shoveling coal into the furnace…a fine dust over everything. Mac is a moron…no that demeans morons. He’s the lump of coal we all got in our stockings. KY hates US.
And the ‘toon doesn’t even mention the obliteration of the Appalachians, as the coal companies blow up entire mountains. As far as I’m concerned, the people of Kentucky are crazy for electing him.
I just finished reading Gray Mountain, by John Grishom…I live in East TN, which is Coal Country, and I’ve seen the devastation and greed with my. own eyes
Conservatives are stuck in an earlier decade when nobody was willing to believe that solar and wind could be economical. Now that they are, they’ve become sudden staunch defenders of the endangered eagle, because heaven knows, nobody could possibly alter the design to be safer. Changing course to account for conditions? That’s for LIBS.
Only a small handful of scientists say the our actions didn’t contribute in a big way/the tar, sand, and pollutants are looking very much like McConnell.
