The cartoonist criticizes guns in movies, but offers no alternative. This has been the moaning of the goodniks, that they don’t like something but where they have not understood the problem in depth or offered a lasting solution. Really we need minds not entertained by antagonism.

I think of trains as equally emblematic of movies. They too go back to TGTR — and earlier.

Violent movies usually receive an R rating. It’s up to parents and movie theaters to uphold the age limit. It’s my chioce to not watch violent movies and TV shows. It’s my choice what kind of books I read. It’s my choice what games I play. I would much rather address the right to bear arms issue. What are the odds that a constitutional ammendment limiting gun ownership or a limitation on the type of weapons citizens can have would get through? The debate goes on while thousands die.

@Carl, Why aren’t you complaining about the ISIS murderers? They’re a much bigger threat.

jayceeii – So , you think the cartoonist shouldnot only do his job, but the job of the moviescreewriters as well . Seems like you, too,are commenting on the current lack of talentand originality in Hollywood.
