    I have perceived that crocheting is somehow considered superior to knitting by those who participate. Why is that? Or, are my perceptions incorrect?

    @codger1944, both knitting and crochet are wonderful needle arts. Being a lifelong crocheter, I do know that many knitters look down on crochet and crocheters often feel like an unloved stepchild but each has its pluses and each is a great way to make beautiful things.
