Look to see B.O. Plenty run around in the backyardChased by Lil’ Attitude, child rearing work is hard.It sounds unkind but never mind, his face could stop a clockA visitor comes calling, Aggie’s in for quite a shock. The taxi didn’t stick around at Acres of Sunny DellGertie’s making supper, as any fool can smell.Vegetables and Attitude simply do not get alongGertie’s chopping turnips and the kid’s just too headstrong. He nearly runs down Aggie as he takes another lapShould B.O. chase him long enough this shall end in a nap.I’d run too if I were you, and smelt Turnip SurpriseI ate some from the big pot once, it made my bile rise.Don’t blame the kid for taking flight from Gertie’s dinner tableAll who’ve ever had this dish run as fast as they are able.
So, “turnip surprise” is a threatening dish. I wonder if Agate Aggie is going to stay for dinner. I suspect that she’s had turnip surprise before. I imagine it to be an old family recipe, even if the little terror doesn’t like vegetables.
For those who were impatient to get a long list of “loose ends” tied up, you can cross one more off your list — Agate Aggie has finally found time to go visit her sister and the rest of that family.
Morning, Gweedo! Yeah, I see you do lots of posts……I can’t spare the time to scan my favs and make posts more than once a day, so I often don’t even have a chance to respond to the ones who respond to me. In light of that, I was still surprised how many posts I’ve made.Cheers,Blune.
Trying to remember how many of B.O.‘s family we were introduced to over the years. <Maybe it’s time for Gertie’s! (Loved the recent strip where SHE said told life story with all HER siblings included!)
PQ, when the story starts getting slack, your Sunday recap does the trick! Thanks from most ALL of us! The guy under the bridge snoring doesn’t count, though!
Agate Aggie is sticking around town, what with the theatre in disarray and a cast member jailed. She didn’t stop by for the food, if she’s familiar with Gertie’s cooking. Blissfully ignorant of the Nitrates’ designs on her nest egg, this seems to be her first meeting with Lil’ Attitude. She may want to put those glasses back on, especially if they’re rose colored. The hospital staff saw more than enough of Lil’ Attitude in the delivery room.
Thanks to Tarry Plaguer, Night-Gaunt49, Gweedo, Neil Wick, cpalmeresq, Willy007, Bob, Morrow, davidf42, Starman1948 and mzkdad for the kind words (and picture). Very much appreciated!

Just a nice, quiet family get together! Oh and it seems like the taxi sign in the 2nd panel is drawn in an incorrect angle. Just saying.

Look to see B.O. Plenty run around in the backyard
Chased by Lil’ Attitude, child rearing work is hard.
It sounds unkind but never mind, his face could stop a clock
A visitor comes calling, Aggie’s in for quite a shock.
The taxi didn’t stick around at Acres of Sunny Dell
Gertie’s making supper, as any fool can smell.
Vegetables and Attitude simply do not get along
Gertie’s chopping turnips and the kid’s just too headstrong.
He nearly runs down Aggie as he takes another lap
Should B.O. chase him long enough this shall end in a nap.
I’d run too if I were you, and smelt Turnip Surprise
I ate some from the big pot once, it made my bile rise.
Don’t blame the kid for taking flight from Gertie’s dinner table
All who’ve ever had this dish run as fast as they are able.
