Calvin and Hobbes by Bill Watterson for April 16, 2015
April 15, 2015

Transcript:
Calvin: "Right here! Put it here!"
Calvin: "Let's work on your underhand pitches"
Hobbes: "If you keep running away like that, you won't catch any fouls"
it just confirms calvins notion that he is the center of the universe..and I am the center of the universe..and you are the center of the universe..mind boggleing isn’t it..?every thing in the universe is in the center of the universe..
Not preaching to anyone, just talking about my favorite subject (note my name), and looking at the literary value of Psalm 8:3-4:
Ps 8:3 ¶ When I consider thy heavens, the work of thy fingers, the moon and the stars, which thou hast ordained; 4 What is man, that thou art mindful of him? and the son of man, that thou visitest him?
Last Sunday’s strip could be broken up and printed, in sequence, in about 4 different layouts – wide and short, narrow and long, two in between. Typical newspaper requirement. This large-format panel is . . . a large-format panel. One piece. No messing with the artist’s message. In the newspaper business, that’s a statement of power.
If the universe goes out “forever and ever”, there is no end to it, correct? How do you determine where the centre is if there is no end?.These things force me to think, and it can be painful…
Of all that Heinlein did, “Starman Jones” was my favorite. I re-read it at least once a year. Regarding your other post, the “conservative” estimate is that an average galaxy like ours has over 100 billion stars. An equally conservative estimate is that there are at least 100 billion galaxies like ours in the known universe.
If somehow, someone could “divvy up” the known galaxies to the people of earth, everybody would be able to have about fourteen of them.
They have updated today’s strip to be a normal weekday strip. I have this comic in a newsreader feed. Because it still had the earlier strip in its preview mode, I was able to understand what the previous comments referred to.
My experience exactly. But I did get to supervise a bunch of Electrical Engineers for 30.5 years, start computer programming in 1967, dead-on with my 30-06 at 100 yards, outdoorsman, grandfather with one foot on a banana peel….
HEY! I really liked the Sunday strip that WAS posted here — apparently accidentally — and even shared it, only to find it now superseded by something nowhere near as profound. Can anyone help me find the one that WAS here earlier? Please?

@GodfreydanielYes, Hobbes is channeling the great Washington Senators pitcher Walter “Big Train” Johnson!

Never really expected a Sunday Strip to be released on a Thursday.

Haha, these comments are hilarious. Most of them are out of context now. FYI, this is the strip that was supposed to be run today, not the Sunday one.
