Interesting method of transporting souls to Hell. No crossing of the River Styx; just a trip through a sewer line…

Heaven and Hell aren’t “above and below”. Instead, they are side by side separated by a sizeable fence. One day satan and god were walking the fence line having a chat when god sees a section of fence which needs repair. He tells satan to have it fixed pronto.satan says, “It’s not my job. You get it done.”god says, “nope, you do it or I’ll call my lawyer.”satan laughs, “Where are YOU gonna find a lawyer?”

Douglas Adams had a place for them, all I remember is that it was cold and had a fjord.

There’s nothing inherently evil about bankers and lawyers; capital is a necessary lubricant for our economic system to function and most lawyers provide the useful service of making sure that what people agree to is what they thought they were agreeing to. As such, they’re useful technicians. The trouble comes when you start putting them in charge of things (e.g., putting bankers in charge of the economy, or stuffing Congress with lawyers). Their training and disposition isn’t appropriate; they need to be working for somebody to be useful. So I’d say it’s more our fault for sticking them into positions they were never meant to fill, than it is their fault for being who they are. Even snakes are useful; you just have to recognize that they are snakes.

That is one of the guys bankrolling the GOP. So they won’t really miss him; plenty of trillion airs where he came from an/or going. Will be disappointed when he finds out that he was not able to take his loot with him. Unfortunately his kids will have plenty to play with—like running for congress….

The difference between a union and a corporation is that the union members get to elect their leaders, so they represent their people. Corporations consist of people who do as they are paid to do, and the corporation is under no obligation to and has no interest in representing them.

Why hasn’t Hell gone public? Launched an IPO?

Maybe Lloyd was right, and bankers ARE doing The LORD’s Work. I keed! But how else would Investment Banks get young, bright, idealistic young people to work with such dedication if they didn’t believe in the Spiritual Rewards.
