The tribes of the Middle East have been at war amongst themselves for the past 6000 years or so.And according to the Tea Party, it’s all Obama’s fault.
The Middle East history is built on the foundation mythology of Abraham NOT killing both his sons and saving a lot of bloodshed over which one was “blessed”. It was about intra-tribal rivalry, NOT “religion”. When religion did enter in a couple millennia later, the bloodletting REALLY got going!!
We should not over drill in the US as in the future we are going to need that oil for other reasons than the increadibly stupid one of burining it up into the atmoshere.
We should be supporting other means of improving our energy supply such as: wind, solar, tidal, and yes, safe nuclear fission and eventually nuclea fusion!
We are the wealthiest nation on th eearth and can easily afford to do this for the guture of our American decendants, if not for the millions of Americans that already suffer from lung related dideases brought on by the pollution from burning fossil fuels!!
