Don’t any of you sometimes miss the days when you had to manually turn on/off the TV, change the channels and turn up/down the volume before the remote control?

Maybe I can find some buyers for an Alzheimer’s comic that’s the same every * day?

When remotes first came out . We would hide the connecting wire under the carpet.

I love this strip, I identify with Earl in so many ways. My hidden talent is butt dialing my cell phone. Speed dialing works really well.

The ‘mute’ is the best button on the remote.

When I first saw Jack Lemmon using a remote in The Apartment (1960), I thought it was science fiction.

woodworker318: Captioning: But if it goes too fast for them, they just leave out the dialog. Sometimes it is reduced to pure gibberish. Why do they have this problem with shows that have been “in the can” for months? The shows are weekly (weakly?) episodes, they should have the printed script and compensate for discrepancies in the final product. I have transcribed audio recordings in about three times original speed and I am a slow typist. Some are using machine transcriptions rather than humans, with total absurdities cropping up for proper names. Professionals should be able to do better.
