Based on focus groups, and extensive audience feedback the expendable crewman should be Tyler Perry. ASAP

Actually, NO, Pacejv. I only recall one black redshirt in Star Trek: TOS. All the others I remember were white, one of them was a very pretty woman (she bought it instead of the black redshirt)…and I think I can trust my automatic mental statistics gatherer on this one.

And so I don’t have to re-emphasize everything: I wouldn’t have remotely thought in a millennium that the typical Star Trek redshirt was black. Look what it took to get Lt. Uhura on board at all.

All that said: I love today’s strip! :))

Okay… So far, the logic is: The redshirt will die. Except when there’s a black guy around, who always dies first. But only if he doesn’t wear a red shirt. If the redshirt is female but not black, she won’t die until the Captain made a move on her. Except green females who never wear shirts. Non-green females who don’t take off their red shirt either die or become black. Whichever happens first. Unless they are naked or Ernest Borgnine.

Just get some bug spray and end this conflict before it begins.

@JohananRakkav …I think “Desultourist” beats both of us on this one, friend. Would you agree that in the first trek movie the bald tall woman who melds with Vega is really a knockout?

All those crew members, and the only one with pointed ears looks like a toad? Brewster might as well surrender now.

It was “V’ger”, because of the damage to the “Made in USA” label in its travels.

Voyager 1 is already in the Oort Cloud out past Pluto, and Voyager 2 isn’t far behind (but in another direction, “up” out of the plane of the ecliptic (the orbital plane of our Sol system).

We still hear a whisper from them every so often, but there’s not much exciting to report, and no pretty pictures (little light out there in the Big Dark).

More intriguing is why Pioneer-10, yet earlier, has been slowed down. And the data to unravel that little mystery (or maybe a clue to a big one) was almost trashed!

@pbarnrob Thank you. I just stumbled across a Laurance Doyle ref that said he was an early JPL imaging engr. who was analysing pictures from Voyager Jupiter & Saturn! That little craft gets around! (This was years ago I’d guess.)

In Star Trek: The Wrath of Khan, the crewmember whose death was inspirational was that of Peter Preston, Scotty’s nephew…”he stood at his post while the trainees ran.”
