There are power ties and then there are Power Ties.

Poor Cory. he was voted “Most insufficient inadequate” in High School and has tried to live up to the title ever since.Gene on the other hand was voted " most insufferable" and since he didn’t know what that meant, he has always acted that way, thinking it was a good thing.

If Gene were any more “sufficient” the legs on his end of the couch would collapse and Cory would go flying.

x_Tech….that would be grade six all over again….

Not something Cory wants to re-live.

Thanks for the nice words yesterday, Shika… I never seem to be here when you are….

And the same to LadyKat and Perkycat….(Hmmm…. Kat and Cat, and “Shika” is also named after a cat….I’m feeling surrounded by felines!)

    Good morning, Ballard Street!

Could this be a continuation of that party from yesterday? Are the Gentlemen’s Aeronautic Society members still on the roof? Are Cory and Gene the only two guys left downstairs? Is this the worst party ever?

Have I used up my questions quota ?

Cory continues, "….and if it wasn’t for that flashy tie and his whitened teeth, Gene’d be totally insufficient. "

Gene also appears to be the type who envisions himself to be quite the ladies’ man… However, word is that he’s sub-adequate in that department. No doubt Gene has a fulfilling fantasy life…

Cory has had a multitude of Gene’s adequate sufficiency, yes that would be a multitude of sufficiency. Nevertheless Cory couldn’t help but noticing Gene’s tie accented the smile, of course as Shirley has often said, a man is never adequately dressed without his pocket protector. Gene is a colorful character, if he would added another quarter million to his 401 he would have qualified for eccentric status. Adequate is OK for Ballard Street as long as he knows the words to “Strawberry Field”, fishes at least twice a year and has a dog with a kid’s name.

Cory is myopic, Gene is clearly an imperious sort.

Gosh, Fenton…. how long has 2Old been asleep in that booth?

I’ll get Elvis to give her a ride home.

In fact, I fell asleep myself … so I probably should go too. We can just drop off 2Old before we go to the salon.

But I hope when she wakes up, she remembers that the Tiki never closes.Never.

Snowstorms and holidays may come and go; they matter not.

It’s true that every Sunday, Ballard Street itself is closed to through traffic … so the bus has to let people off 6 blocks from downtown….but the Tiki welcomes all who make it through the door, at any hour.

Gene’s power tie is alternating current. Its style is current every other decade.

I wish there was a branch of the Tiki Bar within walking distance; I’d be there in a shot..With or without a drink, it would be good to talk to somebody different.

OK, Pcolli, at first glance I thought you were disparaging present company, but now that I read all comments I see that you are referring to your physical environs.

I agree, and would even drink to that, although many times I prefer just our virtual drinks. I cut out a new swimsuit when I arrived home today (as his in-ground hot tub is almost finished – he was constructing control panel yesterday as I cooked dinner). I’ll now have a double gin on the rocks as I go up to a bath (virtual or otherwise). My realtor is expected tomorrow to take photos of this house (I already sent a floor plan file).

I think a real party of a large bunch of Ballard Street residents would be a hoot. I’d be willing to cook up some special treats (and would like o sample Bev’s Snickerdoodles – never tried those).
