Yeah – ironic that some Republicans supported a guy whose views were strictly from 1850, eh?

I find it simply amazing the human race has simply survived all these thousands of years.

BEFORE and at the start of the Civil War, Confederate leaders were telling everyone that the issue was about slavery, that they would keep their slaves no matter what the North felt. AFTER the war, and ever since, they claim it was all only about state rights.

^^ The Feds attempted to seize his herd of cattle(property) due to contested unpaid grazing fees. The ranchers prevented it.I don’t know the guy or even really care, but it is disturbing that the government seemingly had no problem with his cattle grazing on the land for decades, yet suddenly cares enough to seize a mans livelihood.

they’re not trying to seize his property. They just want him to pay grazing fees for using the property that IS NOT HIS. They have been trying to do this legally for 20 years.

Thanks lonecat, but the militia idiots that have rushed to defend him won’t read the record. It’s easy to blame the Federal government. The facts show that he broke the law. That land belongs to all of us. he trespassed on it and has overgrazed it for years.Rather than say they (the BLM) seized his property, they were removing the cattle from our public land. The BLM backed off rather than put everyone at risk from a bunch of right wing idiots. The fact is, they are supporting a law racist lawbreaker and should be arrested.

If I choose not to pay my taxes and someone is sent to arrest me for tax evasion, can I expect two US senators to call me a patriot or a hero because I refuse to pay, or because I threaten the arresting officer with weapons?

Regardless what other idiocy comes spewing from Mr. Bundy’s mouth, it is disheartening to see elected representatives praise acts of sedition. Especially when at least one of them wants to be president. It is especially frustrating to realize that the mere act of praising sedition is not enough to disqualify a candidate.

It would be interesting to see someone shoot President Paul because of a political disagreement; I wonder if the president would praise the shooter for standing his ground…..keep in mind this is hypothetical; I would never advocate for anyone to wound or kill anyone because of a disagreement.

Looks like the left is playing the race card, again. And by that I mean calling out racist comments by a right wing racist.

mikefive: the sad, or scary, part is that so many in the “sovereigns” and other lunatic movements think just like he does! That is why I do care what he thinks, and how many Faux watchers accept as “facts”. When Glenn Beck calls this guy out as a fraud and liar, you’ve gotta’ be concerned that anyone could back him, even BEFORE his racist rants.

They did. . From Washington Post:.August 2013: A court order says Bundy has 45 days to remove his cattle from federal land..October 2013: A federal district judge court tells Bundy not to “physically interfere with any seizure or impoundment operation.”
